5 Cara Terbaik Turunkan Kadar Kolestrol Dalam Tubuh

Cara Terbaik Turunkan Kadar Kolestrol Dalam Tubuh

Pendarahan otak pun terbagi menjadi beberapa jenis. Berikut penjelasannya.

Pendarahan epidural

Bisakah pendarahan otak dicegah?

  • Mengobati tekanan darah tinggi. Studi menunjukkan 80 persen pasien pendarahan otak memiliki riwayat tekanan darah tinggi.

Cold sweaty palms are not necessarily heart disease

Cold sweaty palms are often identified with symptoms of heart disease. However, a cardiologist and blood vessel specialist Adrian Widya Nugraha said this could be a condition of hyperhidrosis.

"This could be a phenomenon of hyperhidrosis, which is a condition in which the sweat glands produce excessive sweat in certain parts of the body or on the palms of the hands," said the doctor who practices at dr. Iskak Tulungagung, East Java.

Andriawan said the lack of public knowledge about the physical symptoms of heart disease often creates misunderstandings. If a person only feels cold sweat without certain symptoms, it is not certain that it is a reaction from heart disease.

Then, what are the early signs of people with heart disease? For example, a person may experience excessive cold sweating on the feet and hands which is followed by other symptoms. Such as pain in the left chest, shortness of breath, and the heart feels racing (excessive heartbeat).

"If someone experiences similar things, it is possible that these symptoms are heart disease. But not necessarily. Before being examined by an expert, it cannot be concluded because every individual does not have the same symptoms," he said as quoted by Antara.

Hyperhidrosis Problem

Andriawan explained that hyperhidrosis is caused by two factors. First, primary hyperhidrosis, which is the symptoms that are not known with certainty but can be seen from genetic or hereditary factors.

Second, secondary hyperhidrosis, namely certain medical conditions such as heart attacks, infectious diseases, low sugar levels and so on.

"The causes of primary hyperdrosis generally occur in the palms, soles of the feet and sometimes the face. Meanwhile, secondary hyperhidrosis occurs in almost all parts of the body. Therefore, people who do not understand medically should not worry first. If you experience the same thing, immediately contact an expert. ," he said.

Analysis: Learn from the Turkey health system

The new coronavirus outbreak (Covid-19) has reversed the health service system in most European countries.

This outbreak also shows many shortcomings of most health care systems around the world who are currently struggling to overcome various challenges.

Decades of austerity measures practiced by Italy, Spain, Portugal, and the United Kingdom have led to substantial budget cuts and a lack of investment in the national health system.

This policy has seriously resulted in a lack of important supporting facilities, hospital beds, and medical personnel.

In contrast, the Turkey health system has managed to handle the pandemic well, through effective crisis management and strong infrastructure development outcomes over the past decade of the AK Party government.
Analysis: Learn from the Turkey health system
The atmosphere at MAKSAM and the mask factory, which is affiliated with the Mechanical and Chemical Industry Company to produce medical masks on April 22, 2020, in Ankara, Turkey. Work in the factory, which has an important role in the production of personal protective equipment in the fight against coronavirus, continues for 7 days and 24 hours without stopping. Turkey's Ministry of National Defense has reached 10 million mask production per week as part of the struggle against the coronavirus. (Özge Elif Kızıl - Anadolu Agency)

Inadequate medical equipment and testing equipment

Lack of testing and lack of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) remains a crucial problem in many European countries.

In Spain, one of the countries with the highest Covid-19 deaths in Europe, the government has been criticized for not preparing medical equipment early.

More than 31 thousand health professionals were exposed to Covid-19 because of a lack of PPE, according to the El Pais newspaper.

On April 21, the Spanish Ministry of Health acknowledged that a lack of PPE caused infections among many medical workers.

Likewise, Britain urgently needs PPE.

After Turkish medical assistance arrived in the country on April 10, the United Kingdom formally requested that Turkey provide another 400 thousand pieces of PPE, including N95 face masks for Britain's National Health Service (NHS).

A plane with thousands of surgical uniforms and 84 tons of PPE from Turkey then arrived in England on April 22.

The plane came at the right time to help Britain in the war against the pandemic.

Also, Britain conducts far less testing than other European countries.

Despite Health Minister Matt Hancock's promise to increase testing to 500,000 a week at the end of April, Britain is still carrying around 20,000 tests a day, a number far lower than the government's target.

While many European countries need more PPE and cannot provide sufficient equipment for medical personnel, Turkey produces its own PPE and provides masks to its citizens and official residents free of charge.

Turkey is launching a website where citizens and official residents can register to receive five surgical masks per week.

The masks were then sent to their homes by the national postal service for free.

While it is true that the pandemic reached Turkey slower than most European countries, testing was carried out by Turkey at a much higher speed than many European countries.

Since the first Covid-19 case on March 11, Turkey has conducted more than 800 thousand tests.

This makes Turkey ranked number seven in the world in terms of testing Covid-19.

The health system is declining

The lack of intensive care units (ICU), ventilators, and hospital beds are also a common problem in Europe.

Hospital capacity in France, Spain, and Italy has been limited to the maximum.

As a result, ships, trains, and exhibition halls were transformed into giant health centers.

Countries, such as Spain and Italy, experience a serious shortage of ICU and intensive care staff.

Therefore, doctors are forced to prioritize ICU care for patients with the best chance of survival.

Even though the number of Covid-19 cases has increased in Turkey, reaching nearly 120 thousand, the ICU occupancy rate in hospitals has still not reached 70 percent.

Turkey has the largest number of ICU beds per 100,000 people compared to most European countries.

In Turkey, there are nearly 46 ICU beds per 100,000 people, according to 2018 data from the Ministry of Health, while the US has 34.7 beds and Germany has 29.2 beds.

'City Hospital' was built as part of the Turkish Health Transformation Program (HTP).

The program was implemented between 2003-2013 to improve the health sector in Turkey by the AK Party government.

The program then became important and of great importance in the fight against the coronary virus.

The Basaksehir City Hospital, which is expected to serve 32,700 patients every day with a total capacity of 2,682 beds and an indoor construction area of 1 million square meters, was partially opened on April 20 to serve as a pandemic hospital until the crisis ended.

According to Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, the hospital will be the largest in Europe in terms of ICU capacity after completion.

Also, the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology has started a private-public venture and introduced the first phase of a nationally produced ventilator.

As the first shipment, 100 ventilators were sent to Basaksehir City Hospital, and another 5,000 will be sent in May.

Turkey's mortality rate in this period is also one of the lowest compared to many European countries.

The death rate in Turkey is 2.3 percent compared with 10.5 percent in Spain, 13.2 percent in Italy, 17.3 percent in France, and 13.5 percent in the United Kingdom.

The model is worth emulating

Turkey's struggle against the pandemic is extraordinary.

Crisis management strategies and the country's health care system, which have been significantly improved over the past decade, are lessons for many countries today.

Covid-19 has challenged most European countries to limit and expose deficiencies in most health care systems.

However, this pandemic paved the way for rethinking health strategies in Europe and the world.

Turkey's health service model, which is manifested in strong planning, resilience, and adequate commitment, should be emulated by all countries.

Ramadan Fasting Increases Immunity From Coronavirus

Coronavirus continues to "hug" anyone tightly. Especially to the elderly and have little immunity. Coronavirus brought it to the afterlife.

To those who are still young. Corona was also happy to meet him. Although finally, the young one can escape the corona trap. Young people rarely die.

The vaccine that was sought did not change. Though corona is accustomed to dress differently. Mutated into several. Which finally makes the vaccine could not hit. Unfortunately, the vaccine has not yet been met.

No matter how much effort there is. Return to available immunity. Can withstand a corona attack. Or just lay down hoping for the compassion of the corona the "taker" of life.

Ramadan Fasting Increases Immunity
Credits: AboutIslam.net
Let's try, mapping the perfect immune lighter. Starting from don't panic, optimism, excellent stamina to make the soul partner. Partnering with God, humans, and the universe. Partnership soul, affectionate with all. Sincere compassion for the sake of God alone, among others through fasting, especially Ramadan fasting, how can that be?

Fasting (shiyam) Ramadan is, holding back food and drink, with husbands, from the dawn (shubuh) to the sunset (maghrib). This is what most Muslims understand. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) says, "How many people fast but he does not get enough from his hunger except hunger and thirst". This is said because, fasting is not just a refrain of the above three things, but the fact of shiyam is to refrain from things that invalidate fasting. The things that cancel fasting broadly are summarized as self-destructive, at the expense of others.

This meaning is in line with the overall meaning of Islam. That Islam is rahmatan Lil 'aalaminn. Islam is here to bring mercy to the universe. Grace for this universe will be present if every individual can manage themselves well. Being able to withstand what's bad for him, even worse for others. It is the same as commanding ourselves to always behave well, to always be active only for those who benefit, also for the environment.

The environment in question can be human, animal, plant, and whole being. In psychology, self-restraint (shiyam in Arabic), is the same as suppressing id, ego, I, myself, suppressing self-interest for mutual benefit. Islam commands "irhamuu man fil ardl, yarhamkum man fis samaa", mercy/love anyone on earth you will be loved by anyone in heaven. Even in one of the Qur'anic letters, the attempt to seek refuge in Allah (Creator, King, God of man) from within is specifically emphasized using a single letter, the letter of the Naas.

Thus, because of the importance of humans protecting from bad efforts that come from within him. Also because the beginning of mistakes is from within. See how the first sin committed by the devil, is because he is arrogant, feels himself better (ana khairun minhu) so he does not want to submit to Allah's command. namely prostration/respect to Adam as. Also because of an error within him (spiteful), the devil continues to try to misery humans, starting Adam as. until all of his offspring. Ramadan fasting is one of the main ways to train yourself to be in control so that you can pour out mercy, compassion on the universe rather than prioritizing yourself.

Immunity

means immunity. Immune means the body's immune to biological disorders, disorders that cause people to become sick. People who have good immunity rarely get sick, even if it hurts, it will heal easily. While people who are weak immunity will easily get sick, if it is sick in general, the pain suffered by longer recovery.

Various ways were taken by people to be able to increase their body immunity, including through immunization, doing regular exercise, and meeting healthy food intake. In his journal article entitled, "The Role of Psychological Well-Being in Boosting Immune Response: An Optimal Effort for Tackling Infection" (2018) the writer found a different way. In the article, it was proven that many international researchers found scientific facts that, people who have good character, among others, have good self-control, have a high level of immunity.

Internal medicine expert Larry Dossey, a researcher who has been the editor-in-chief of two international scientific journals in the US for nearly a decade, collects many articles that show people who can hold themselves well, are not selfish, have a healthy life, have a successful career, have a happy home life, and long life. Even if they are sick, they recover quickly. Bernie Siegel, a native US surgeon, found evidence of 57 cases of breast carcinoma sufferers, healed completely after they changed their behavior, leading to rahmatan lil'aalaamiin behavior.

So Ramadan fasting which emphasizes self-control so that it can always benefit the universe should be able to make life more healthy, have perfect immunity, grow happier, and live longer.

Free Radical Reverse Immunity

In general, free radicals can be likened to radical organizations in state life. This type of organization is banned by the government because it likes to make trouble, causing security instability, causing the lives of citizens to be less calm. In the body, the word organization is replaced by molecules. So there are molecules in the body that lose electrons, so they become radical groups. Free radicals, working towards destruction. Of course, these molecules must be minimized so that the body is not easily damaged, not old quickly.

As a result of free radicals on the skin, causing the skin to be easily damaged, looks dull. Blood vessels that degrade in quality due to free radicals, can have a serious impact. To the heart can go to the coronary heart, to the brain can go to a stroke.

The self-control function born of shiyam obligation leads the culprit to achieve emotional balance. Emotional balance leads to lower levels of stress. Low levels of stress, increase the immune system, also suppress the production of free radicals. Thus, the perfect shiyam, not only enhances the body's immunity but also makes the body not easily damaged, which is young.

So, Ramadan fasting requires Muslim believers to live healthier, immunity jumps, corona unable to blow. Ramadan fasting becomes a solid solution to crash corona outbreaks! We are happy that Ramadan fasting is coming soon, marhaban ya Ramadan!

French Researchers Claim Nicotine Could Be a Coronavirus Drug

A new study in France revealed that nicotine can protect people from coronavirus infection. However, a further test is planned to test whether the substance can be used to prevent or treat coronavirus.

The findings came after researchers at Paris's famous hospital examined 343 coronavirus patients along with 139 people infected with a coronavirus with mild symptoms.

They found that a small number of them smoked, compared with a smoking rate of around 35 percent in the general population of France.

"Of these patients, only five percent are smokers," Zahir Amoura, a study co-author and a professor of internal medicine, was quoted as saying by AFP.

The study echoes similar findings published in the New England Journal of Medicine last month which showed that 12.6 percent of the 1,000 people infected in China were smokers. This figure is far lower than the number of regular smokers in the general population of China, about 26 percent, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

The theory is that nicotine can attach to cell receptors, thereby blocking the virus from entering cells and spreading in the body, according to renowned neurobiologist Jean-Pierre Changeux of the French Pasteur Institute who also co-authored the study.

Researchers are awaiting approval from health authorities in France to conduct further clinical trials.

They plan to use nicotine in health workers at the Pitie-Salpetriere hospital in Paris - where preliminary research is conducted - to see if it protects them from contracting the virus.

They have also applied to use patches in patients treated at the hospital to see if it helps reduce symptoms and also in more serious intensive care patients, Amoura said.

Researchers are investigating whether nicotine can help prevent "cytokine storms", a rapid overreaction of the immune system that scientists say can play a key role in fatal COVID-19 cases.

"We must not forget the harmful effects of nicotine," said Jerome Salomon, a French health official.

"Those who do not smoke at all should not use nicotine substitutes", which causes side effects and addiction, he warned.

Tobacco is the number one killer in France, with an estimated 75 thousand deaths per year related to smoking.

Doctors Reveal Skin Problems As New Symptoms of COVID-19

Research to see the specific symptoms of COVID-19 is still being done. Including the effects of coronavirus infection on infected patients' skin as revealed by Spanish dermatologists some time ago.

Dermatologists in Spain found purple lesions or sores on the skin of the foot of a COVID-19 patient. They say children and adolescents are most likely to experience these signs even though some are reported to occur in adults.

These lesions look similar to chickenpox and tend to appear around the toes. The Spanish General Council of Official Podiatrists said there were several cases found in European countries such as Italy, France, and Spain.

"This is a strange finding that began to spread yesterday in the field of health care, among dermatologists and podiatrists," they said as quoted by Express on Friday (4/17/2020).

Cannot Be Defined As a Definite Symptom

The doctors said that in general, they would recover without dying on the skin.

Of course, this finding cannot be established as a definite symptom of COVID-19. The experts also stressed that they still lack scientific evidence that can be discussed.

Even so, the doctors asked that podiatrists be more aware of this possibility.

"The council wants to convey a calming message to parents and possible victims, given the benign nature of the lesion, and to remember that they must monitor the appearance of other clinical symptoms that are characteristic of COVID-19 such as coughing, fever, respiratory problems," foot doctors said. From Newshub.

This statement was released after an article published by the International Federation of Podiatrist about the first case with these symptoms. In its report, on March 8, a 13-year-old boy suffered a wound in his leg after being bitten by a spider. This teenager was then diagnosed with COVID-19 after experiencing coronavirus symptoms.

Rash Symptoms

The Cleveland Clinic also revealed several reports related to skin problems from coronavirus infection in the form of rashes in Italy and Thailand. However, this condition cannot be ascertained as a result of COVID-19.

"I am not sure it is widely known outside the dermatology community, and we are just beginning to see this report even in the dermatology literature," said dermatologist at the Cleveland Clinic, Sarah Young. He added, there were no specific skin rash symptoms that were known to occur in patients.

Quoted from the official Cleveland Clinic website, the American Academy of Dermatology has also made a list of doctors and health professionals who treat patients with dermatological manifestations or develop skin problems that are likely related to COVID-19.

"I think the report is starting to appear, so right now we are building this type of list, I think we will start to see more information about skin symptoms," Young said.

Varied Symptoms

Images using an undated electron microscope in February 2020 showed the SARS-CoV-2 (yellow) coronavirus emerging from the surface of the cells (blue/pink) cultured in the laboratory. Virus and cell samples were taken from a patient infected with COVID-19. (NIAID-RML via AP)

Young revealed the initial report of a dermatologist who worked on coronavirus patients in Italy found that 88 percent of positive patients, 20 percent of them experienced skin problems in the form of rashes at the beginning of the disease and increased slightly more during hospitalization.

Of the patients who experienced it, some people developed a bumpy red rash. Others also experience urticaria or itching, and one has blisters such as chickenpox.

Another note in Thailand also experienced a COVID-19 patient who was initially diagnosed with dengue suffering from petechiae or ruptured blood vessels, a characteristic rash that occurs in dengue fever.

Young also reports that patients have spots as a result of possible blockage of blood vessels near the skin.

"This varies greatly, what we see, and the reported rash can be seen in a variety of other diseases. So no specific rash reported so far states: yes, this patient has COVID-19," Young said.

Therefore, dermatologists are exploring whether this type of rash is a clue to the severity of the disease.

"Does the rash affect the prognosis? We don't know that yet."

China is testing two vaccines to fight the coronavirus. Xinhua, Tuesday (4/14), reported that the vaccine will be tested on humans.

The vaccine was developed by the Sinovac Biotech unit registered with Nasdaq and based in Beijing, as well as the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, an affiliate of the Chinese National Pharmaceutical Group.

In March, China also received another clinical trial for the coronavirus vaccine candidate.

The vaccine was developed by the Chinese Military Medical Academy and a biotechnology company registered in Hong Kong CanSino Bio.

The US drug company Moderna said it, and the US National Institute of Health began testing its vaccine on humans.

Meanwhile, from within the country, the Ministry of Research and Technology / National Research and Innovation Agency, through the co-19 consortium as a team, will focus on developing the coronavirus vaccine in less than 12 months.

Kemristek also opens the possibility to cooperate with foreign parties who also want or are developing a vaccine for COVID-19 in order to accelerate the development of the vaccine

How to Make Hand Sanitizer According to WHO

How to Make Hand Sanitizer According to WHO - The Coronavirus pandemic is expanding. People around the world are competing to find ways to avoid contracting COVID-19.

One of the easy ways to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus is by using a hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizers can clean and reduce germs on the hands.

However, this hand sanitizer should only be used when under limited conditions, such as when having difficulty finding clean water.

Also, keep in mind to always buy hand sanitizer products on the market that have been registered with the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM).

As a way to overcome the scarcity of hand sanitizers due to high demand, the World Health Organization (WHO) has published how to make hand sanitizers that are easy to do.

Reporting from the CDC website, hand sanitizers must contain at least 60 percent alcohol to work effectively.

How to Make Hand Sanitizers According to WHO

There are two formulas given by WHO, namely using glycerol and ethanol.

Glycerol is used as a humectant (keeping moisture) of the skin. Then mixed with hydrogen peroxide, which can overcome contaminated bacteria.

Besides glycerol, WHO also recommends the use of ethanol.

For the record, keep in mind how to make a hand sanitizer, because it uses chemicals.

Referring to the process of making the WHO version, you have to wait about 72 hours for the homemade hand sanitizer to be ready for use.

Bola.com summarizes from WHO, how to make the World Health Organization version of the hand sanitizer to prevent the spread of COVID-19 :

Materials

Cleaning hands with hand sanitizers is a routine activity for the editorial crews and other divisions at Liputan6.com. (Helmi Fitriansyah)

Used to make 10 Liter Hand Sanitizer

Formula 1

  1. Ethanol 96 percent around 8,333 ml
  2. 3 percent hydrogen peroxide around 417 ml
  3. Glycerol 98 percent is around 145 ml
  4. Distilled water or cold boiled water

Formula 2

  1. 99.8 percent of isopropyl alcohol is around 7,515 ml
  2. 3 percent hydrogen peroxide around 417 ml
  3. Glycerol 98 percent is about 145 ml
  4. Distilled water or cold boiled water

Used Tools

Required Tools

  1. 10-liter glass bottle or bottle with screw plug
  2. Plastic jerry can measure 50 liters of polyethylene, which is transparent to see the liquid level
  3. Stainless steel tank with a capacity of 80-100 liters
  4. Sodet wood, plastic, or metal to stir the mixture
  5. Measuring tube
  6. Measuring cup, plastic or metal funnel
  7. Plastic bottles with leak-proof caps measuring 100 ml
  8. 500 ml glass or plastic bottle with a screw cap
  9. Alcoholmeter, temperature scale at the bottom and ethanol concentration (percentage v / v) at the top

Ways of making

How to make a hand sanitizer according to WHO standards:
  1. Prepare 10 glass or plastic 10-liter bottles with screw caps.
  2. Choose the formula you want to make according to the measurements in the jerry can.
  3. Add hydrogen peroxide to the jerry cans.
  4. Add glycerol to jerry cans. Glycerol has thick and sticky properties on the measuring cup. Clean the measuring cup with distilled water or boiled water.
  5. Pour about 10 liters of jerry can, and add 1 liter of distilled water.
  6. Stir until evenly mixed.
  7. Finally, immediately divide 500 or 100 ml plastic bottles. Store up to 72 hours before use.

By knowing the alternative version of WHO, you can apply it at home when you have difficulty getting hand sanitizer conditions or experiencing price increases.

Once again emphasized, hand sanitizer is only as an alternative replacement if it is difficult to find water and soap to clean hands.

The use of hand sanitizers, in the long run, will make your skin experience health problems, such as dry and sensitive skin. Hand sanitizers have a variety of chemicals that are at risk of causing interference with the functioning of the skeletal muscles and the human heart.

Alcohol is also believed to increase bacterial resistance. Therefore, the use of hand sanitizers is better used when it is difficult to find water and soap.

This Drug Is Tested to Kill COVID-19, What Is the Result?

This Drug Is Tested to Kill COVID-19, What Is the Result? In the middle of the world that is being attacked by the coronavirus or COVID-19, several studies are conducted to find a cure. In Australia, a study has found that the anti-parasitic drug previously used, Ivermectin can kill COVID-19 within 48 hours.
Reported by the Times of India, Tuesday (09/07/2020), the drug which has been approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has also been proven effective in vitro fighting other types of viruses, such as HIV, dengue fever, influenza, and zika virus.

Research conducted by Monash University, Australia, has shown that a single dose of this drug can stop the growth of the virus and can be eradicated in just two days.

"We found that even one dose can erase all viral load up to 48 hours and even in the first 24 hours, there was a very significant reduction in that," said Dr. Kylie Wagstaff, the leader in the study, was quoted as saying by viva.co.id.

Dr. Wagstaff added tests had been carried out in vitro, but trials in humans still needed to be done.

"The next step is to find out whether the dose used in humans will be effective. When we are experiencing a global pandemic, it is better to use drugs that are already available in most parts of the world," he continued.

Although it is not yet known whether Ivermectin can work well on the coronavirus or not, high suspicion is taken because this drug can react to other viruses. Ivermectin is known to stop viruses and reduce the ability of host cells to stop them.

"Ivermectin is still far from the vaccine for the new coronavirus," he said.

Dr. Wagstaff and Professor David Jans of the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute began researching the effects of Ivermectin since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether this drug can be used or not to treat the coronavirus depends on the success of preclinical testing and further trials.

How to make a fabric mask without a sewing machine

How to make a fabric mask without a sewing machine - Amid the scarcity of face masks at this time, many people turn the way to make their own masks. One thing you can do is use a patchwork to make a mask. However, many are retreating in the middle of the road because they have to make masks using a sewing machine.

In fact, not only do fabric masks have to use a sewing machine. By merely using patchwork, thread, and sewing needles, you can be creative creating fabric masks. Launching the New York Times, here's how to make cloth masks without using a sewing machine.

What you need:

1. Needles and sewing thread

2. Scissors

3. pin or needle pins for smoothing the fabric

4. 50x50cm cotton fabric

5. 4 pieces of cotton rope with a length of 45cm or 4 pieces of clean shoelaces

How to make:

1. Prepare a cotton cloth, fold it in half and cut into a rectangle with a length of 24cm and a width of 17cm. This is the essential part of the fabric mask

2. Cut four pieces of thin cotton fabric with a length of about 18cm. Fold it into three sections and stretch straight across the folds to make the structure look neat

3. Take one piece of rectangular fabric, use a pin to put the fabric that has been formed into ropes on all four sides. Make sure that the long string is collected in the middle of the fabric

4. Take the other part of the fabric and align it with the original cloth (stack of the second cloth on the rope). Each side of the fabric must face each other. Embed needle pins so that the fabric does not change position

5. Start sewing the fabric mask from the bottom center to the lower-left corner, don't forget to sew the strap so that it sticks with the fabric. While sewing, remove the needle pins that you use as a marker. You can sew with double stitching technique (back and forth) so that the stitch is stronger

6. Continue sewing around the mask and leave about 2-3cm of fabric that has not been sewn, then turn the material so that the strap is outside and continue sewing until all parts are wholly stitched

7. At the front of the mask, make three folds as you fold the paper fan. This method helps the fabric mask adjust to the wearer's face. Pin the pin as a fold mark

8. With the folded display, sew the mask once more at a distance of 1cm from the edge. You can also do double stitching so that the stitches are more durable and denser.

Voila! Fabric masks are ready to use. But before that, you are advised to wash it first.

Ladies, ready to make your own fabric masks as a pastime when social distancing at home?

Understand the Coronavirus Spread, Can It Over the Air?

Understand the Coronavirus Spread, Can It Over the Air? - Aside from droplets or contact with people who are favorable for the coronavirus, or through items exposed to the virus, fears of emerging infections also spread through the air. How are the facts spread?

Respiratory infections caused by the coronavirus or COVID-19 are indeed transmitted through droplets of various sizes and physical contact. The most common cases in the coronavirus are transmitted through respiratory and touch drops.

In an analysis of 75,465 cases of COVID-19 in China, there were no reports of airborne transmission. Transmission of droplets occurs when a person is in close contact or about 1 meter away from someone who has respiratory symptoms, such as coughing or sneezing and is therefore at risk of mucosa (mouth and nose) or conjunctiva (eye) being exposed to potentially infective respiratory drops.

Understand the Coronavirus Spread, Can It Over the Air?

Transmission can also occur through fomites in the environment around an infected person. Therefore, transfer of COVID-19 can occur through direct contact with an infected person and indirect contact with surfaces in the immediate environment or with objects used in an infected person, such as a stethoscope or thermometer.

Reporting from www.who.int, the transmission of COVID-19 transmission through the air can be made possible under special conditions and settings where supporting procedures or treatments that produce aerosols are carried out, namely endotracheal intubation, bronchoscopy, open suction, administration of nebulization, manual ventilation before intubation, turning the patient into a prone position, disconnecting the patient from the ventilator, non-invasive positive pressure ventilation, tracheostomy, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

There is some evidence that COVID-19 infection can cause intestinal infections and is in the stool. However, to date, only one study has bred the COVID-19 virus from a single fecal specimen. There have been no reports of fecal transmission, COVID-19 oral infection to date.

A recent publication in the New England Journal of Medicine has evaluated the persistence of viruses from the coronavirus. The discovery of coronaviruses in aerosol particles for up to 3 hours does not reflect the clinical setting, in which aerosol-producing procedures are carried out, that is, aerosol-producing procedures that are experimentally induced.

As a result, based on available evidence, including the most recent publications mentioned above, WHO calls for precautions to be taken for people caring for COVID-19 patients. WHO continues to recommend airborne precautions for circumstances and arrangements where aerosol-producing procedures and support treatments are carried out by a risk assessment.

This recommendation is consistent with other national and international guidelines, including those developed by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and the Society of Critical Care Medicine, which are currently used in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The current WHO recommendations emphasize the importance of using all rational and appropriate PPE, not just masks that require the right behavior and from health workers, especially in cleaning procedures and hand hygiene practices.

WHO also recommends training staff on these recommendations, as well as adequate procurement and availability of PPE needed and other supplies and facilities. WHO continues to stress the importance of hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette, and environmental cleaning and disinfection, as well as the importance of maintaining physical distance and avoiding close and unprotected contact with people with symptoms of fever or breathing.

Coronavirus Has 3 Weaknesses, Not Only Soap, and Disinfectant

The new coronavirus is spreading quickly. The virus that causes COVID-19 has infected more than one million people worldwide in a short time. Launching from tempo.co, no wonder many people are worried, especially since there is no vaccine and the right medicine. But, did you know that this virus also has weaknesses?

The weakness of this coronavirus can be used to prevent transmission, so your risk of COVID-19 can be lower. So far, scientists, researchers, and health workers have devised ways to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 through these weaknesses.

Coronavirus Has 3 Weaknesses, Not Only Soap, and Disinfectant

Here are three weaknesses of the coronavirus that you need to know.

1. Easily crushed with soap
What is a fat solvent? Yes, that's right, abundant waters are the soap we use every day. Coronavirus, can be destroyed and die if exposed to soap. That is why we are recommended to diligently wash hands with soap and water to prevent COVID-19 infection.

Then, why is soap effective for killing the coronavirus? The answer is in the composition of the virus itself. Coronavirus is basically composed of three parts, namely DNA or RNA, which is the core of the virus, a protein which is the raw material for the virus to multiply, and a layer of fat as an outer protector.

The three parts are actually not firmly attached to each other. So, when the fat layer is destroyed by soap, the virus will be destroyed and die.

So, the call to wash hands is a logical and beneficial step to prevent COVID-19 transmission. If you diligently clean your hands with soap and running water, then the possibility of the virus moving from the sides and into the body will be reduced dramatically.

2. Can be defeated by antibodies
COVID-19 infection can occur in several severities, ranging from mild to severe. In COVID-19 patients who have mild symptoms, this infection can resolve on its own as long as the body's immune system is excellent.

A study conducted in Australia agrees that one of the weaknesses of the coronavirus is in dealing with healthy antibodies. This study looked at regularly the levels of antibodies produced by a 47-year-old COVID-19 patient with mild to moderate symptoms.

Such patients do not have concomitant diseases such as hypertension or diabetes. His overall body condition is healthy, and there is only one infection that is happening, namely COVID-19.

On days 7-9, since the symptoms of COVID-19 first appeared in these patients, several antibodies began to form in the body. This is a sign, the body is issuing various weapons to try to fight the coronavirus. A few days after the antibodies formed, the patient's body began to improve.

Indeed, further research is still needed on a larger scale to see the pattern of "war" between the coronavirus and antibodies. However, the above analysis can serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining endurance by living a healthy lifestyle.

3. Can be killed by disinfecting
Coronaviruses have many types. There is a coronavirus that causes SARS, MERS, and currently, a new species is found, resulting in COVID-19. Each of them does have differences and still needs more research. But so far, it is known that, in general, the character of the coronavirus family is quite similar, which is considered weak if it has to deal with disinfectant material.

Based on research results, the coronavirus that causes SARS and MERS can survive on the surface of objects such as metal, glass, or plastic for several days. Although so far, there has been no research on the resistance of the virus that causes COVID-19 on the surface, it is thought the results are not much different from other coronavirus cousins.

The good news, the virus is considered to be inactive with disinfectants such as alcohol with 60-70% levels, 0.5% hydrogen peroxide, or 0.1% sodium hypochlorite

Inedible Coronavirus Hoax, A Group of Britons Burn BTS Tower

Inedible Coronavirus Hoaks, A Group of Britons Burn BTS Tower - The sad and shocking news came from the land of Queen Elisabeth. This news is in the form where a group of people deliberately burned tower base transceiver receivers (BTS). This was triggered by the circulation of information about a conspiracy about the Coronavirus that was spread through the 5G network.

Hoax news about this conspiracy theory, circulated among the British people through videos on YouTube channels and social media accounts like Facebook. As a result, some people believed and started burning the BTS towers.

The BBC reported that there were at least 3 5G towers that were destroyed by burning by several communities last week.

Reports of the burning of these BTS towers appear in several regions in the UK, such as Birmingham, Liverpool, and Melling on Merseyside. At present, the local fire department and the police are conducting identification and investigation into this case.

This case was then widely discussed and made several stakeholders in the UK issue a statement.
"I am furious and disgusted that people will take action on the infrastructure we need to overcome this emergency," Stephen Powis, director of the National Health Service (NHS), told the British Coronavirus daily briefing.

In theory, claiming that the new Coronavirus originated from Wuhan, this happened because China recently launched 5G. And now it is spreading to other cities that also use 5G. Conspiracy theories also state that highly infectious viruses will naturally spread more in densely populated cities with access to 5G.

Of course, the above cannot be justified, given that the coronavirus pandemic has hit countries that haven't even implemented 5G networks such as Iran, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan.

There is not even scientific evidence linking the coronavirus pandemic with 5G, nor are there any direct adverse health effects to 5G.

In fact, Full fact, an independent fact-checking body in the UK has also explored the claim after a British tabloid newspaper highlighted them recently. 5G does use radio wave frequencies higher than 4G or 3G, but regulators in the UK also revealed that the 5G electromagnetic radiation level is far below international thresholds.
